Coaching Blueprint

Arrange to observe your coachees at least one to two times per month and have a coaching conversation after the observation. The more you practice coaching, the better you will get at it. The more support you give them, the faster they will progress.

Below are the tools you will use to conduct your role as a Mentor Coach to help your coachees attain fidelity to evidence-based practices.

I will read your log and code it (in the fidelity coach section), and send it back to you a couple of days before the web meeting.

Select at least two coachees you will work with for a five-six month period. Support the coachee's use of the evidence-based practices we focused on during the training.

One week prior to the scheduled web meeting with me, email your log as an attachment to me along with your coaching plan.

Roadmap for Reflection: Coachee Presents an Issue

During the web meeting, I will talk with you about your mentor coaching, help you reflect on your log, and develop a new plan with you for continuous improvement with your use of evidence-based coaching characteristics. Write your plan for continuing to improve your mentor coaching skills on the "summary" tab of your coaching log and use this revised log to  document your next conversation.

Coach your coachees. After you coach each of them, select one of those conversations (you had with your coachee) to log using the Master Coach e-Log. Use the instructions provided to complete the log correctly. Code your conversation in the e-Log and make some reflections in the notes column.

After you complete the observation, use the Coaching Blueprint to think about the strengths and inconsistencies of the coachee's practice. Use this coaching plan to help you use your observation notes to plan for your conversation.
